Explaining a Process-3

In order to get from the Visitor Center to the Graff House, follow these directions.  First, go west four blocks from the Visitor Center.  Next, turn right on Seventh Street.  Then, go north for a few minutes.  The Graff House is on your left, and there is a tall building across from it.

Explaining a Process-2

Let's do a simple experiment to prove that black is a better collector of solar energy than white.  All we have to prepare are 2 tin cans, black and white paint, and a room thermometer.  First, paint the cans—one black, one white.  Next, fill the cans with water.  When the can is filled with water, put the cans in direct sunlight for three hours.  Finally, check the temperature of the water in the cans and compare, and we will see that the temperature of the water in the black can is higher.  According to the experiment, we know that black is a better collector of solar energy than white.

An unforgettable experience -revised1

I had an unforgettable experience last year. It was before I entered a senior high school that I decided to be a volunteer in a hospital. I helped people in the hospital, which was far away from my home and was in a remote village. All I had to do in the hospital was to give patients correct directions to the departments. However, I had another significant task on the last day when I served in the hospital. There was a mother-to-be sent to the emergency room as she took a slip in the bathroom, keeping shedding blood. Furthermore, owing to the shortage of the medical care staff in that hospital, I was asked to help the doctor conduct an operation on her. During the operation, she was so afraid of losing her babies that she cried loudly and kept shivering. Finally, to our relief, the woman gave birth to two babies successfully and both of her babies were healthy. Not only was it  my first time to be a volunteer but it also was an unforgettable experience in my life.

Where there is a will, there is a way.-revised1

I was a hardworking athlete and once won a championship in a race, but everything changed owing to a terrible accident, which occurred on my way home after the race. I was hit by a truck and passed out immediately on account of shedding too much blood. Although I was sent to the hospital at once, I lost my consciousness for at least one month. After I came to myself, I had negative attitude toward my life, trying to kill myself. One day, however, while I was fooling around in a wheel chair in the hospital, there was an elder man, who lost one of his legs, tried his best to walk with a stick. Although he fell down again and again, he never gave up. A thought suddenly came to my mind that I should practice walking instead of keeping feeling depressed day after day, and then I made up my mind to take part in the race five years later. Finally, my efforts paid back and I won a championship again. As the proverb goes, “Where there is a will, there is a way.” If I tried, there must be some opportunities for me to succeed.
